Privacy Policy
Ledger ("the app") is built so that your professional credentials and continuing-education
records stay yours.
What we collect
We don't collect any personal information about you. Ledger has no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking libraries. The developer receives no data about you or your documents. The only thing Ledger sends is the anonymous usage data described below. It cannot be used to identify you.
Anonymous analytics (TelemetryDeck)
Ledger uses TelemetryDeck to understand which features are used, so we can improve the app. TelemetryDeck receives:
- Product interaction: coarse app events such as "certificate scanned", "credential added", "reminder set", or "paywall shown", with non-personal details like a plan name. Never a credential or certificate's details, a document, a note, an expiration date, or anything you type.
- A device identifier: a salted, hashed identifier generated for this install, used only to count unique installs. It cannot be used to identify you and is not shared for advertising.
This data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you. For details, see TelemetryDeck's privacy information (https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy/).
Where your data lives
- Everything you add — credentials, CE records, scanned certificates — is stored on your
device. - Document scanning, text recognition, and Apple Intelligence extraction run entirely
on-device. Your documents are never uploaded for processing. - If you turn on iCloud Sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud database,
encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, and accessible only to your Apple Account.
The developer cannot read it.
Purchases
Ledger Pro purchases are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details. Receipts are
validated on-device via StoreKit.
Permissions
- Camera — used only when you choose to scan a certificate.
- Photo library — Ledger uses the system photo picker, which shares only the photos you
select. - Notifications — optional renewal and pacing reminders, scheduled locally on your device.
Data deletion
Delete any record in the app, or erase everything via Settings → Erase all data. Disabling
iCloud Sync and deleting the app's iCloud data in iOS Settings removes synced copies.
